Which NFL head coaches should be on the hot seat after Week 17 action? Late losses have big playoff and job security implications.

The NFL is inching closer and closer to the end of the regular season with every result mattering that much more for embattled head coaches.

In Week 17, games that’ll weigh in on playoff berths didn’t always go the way some coaches needed them to go.

Who should be feeling the heat this week?

The Dolphins started the season miserably, losing seven of their first eight games. They very nearly dug themselves out of that hole with an impressive seven-game winning streak in the second half of the season.

However, a blowout loss to the Titans brought the team crashing back to earth in Week 17.

The defeat should also reignite the heater sitting below Brian Flores’ seat.

Losing to Tennessee isn’t really the problem. It’s the timing of it all. And the way it happened.

Miami had playoff implications attached to this game and they straight up laid an egg. They were down 17-3 at halftime and never made a dent as the deficit grew. It was the same story last year against the Bills.

Of course, a loss to the Titans would matter less if the early season losing streak hadn’t happened. Flores will get another season. He won’t be able to succumb to these same pitfalls and survive next time
