Though Antonio Brown trying to get away from MetLife Stadium was a big subplot of yesterday, he never left New York after quitting the Bucs and football.

Antonio Brown was the talk of the NFL on Sunday, but not for anything he did on the field — well, at least in terms of playing in the game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He, of course, added the coup de grace to his infamy as he took off his pads and quit during the third quarter of Tampa’s game against the Jets, walking off the field waving while shirtless. He then looked for a ride from several different sources, released a new rap song, and posted on social media.

But after that, no one knew what Brown was up to. We got our answer on Monday night, though, as the now-former Bucs receiver was spotted sitting courtside at Barclays Center to watch the Brooklyn Nets play the Memphis Grizzlies.

For good measure, he’s also walking around Barclays Center, which requires proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test to get in, without a mask. That’s certainly of note given that Brown was suspended for providing a fake vaccine card to the Bucs and the NFL.

So while Brown was never going to fly back to Florida with the team, it turns out he never flew back at all.

When in New York, I guess.
