As Pittsburgh’s home finale, Monday Night Football turned into a swan song for Roethlisberger, who is either going to retire or continue his career outside of a Steelers uniform with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Fans brought signs showing their love for the quarterback and he went on to lead Pittsburgh to a victory over the Browns.
Roethlisberger was 24-of-46 for 123 yards and a touchdown. Najee Harris came through on the ground with 188 yards and a touchdown while T.J. Watt and the defense were immense with nine sacks on the night.
The Steelers are still technically in the playoff hunt so it’s not clear how many more games Roethlisberger will play for the team but it’ll at least be one. Pittsburgh will travel to Baltimore next week to close out the regular season against the Ravens.
