Antonio Brown reportedly has NFL team interested in him
Despite being cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in embarrassing fashion, an NFL team is open to signing Antonio Brown.
Is it possible we haven’t seen the last of Antonio Brown on the field this year? As soon as he tossed off his jersey and quit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, everyone assumed his career was over. Who would want him after the Bucs also wasted no time in releasing him?
Well, let’s hold the phone on things here, as ESPN’s Josina Anderson is reporting that an unknown team out there would be interested in signing him. Somehow, this crazy story just keeps getting crazier.
An unknown NFL team could be ready to sign Antonio Brown
There’s no questioning Brown’s talent. He has shown time and time again that he’s a tremendous wideout and can be a difference-maker for a squad. Having said that, how much of his garbage are people going to be ready to tolerate?
Brown abandoned the Bucs in the middle of a game they were losing against the New York Jets. He didn’t leave gracefully either, as he was spotted shirtless jogging into the locker room, throwing up peace signs to fans in the stands.
Brown became a side show and wanted all the attention on him. There’s even video of Mike Evans imploring Brown to calm down and not quit the team. That effort was for nothing, though, as Brown left the field moments later.
For the Bucs, they’re now ready to try and defend their Super Bowl title with Brown nowhere close to the other players. Could a Super Bowl contender end up signing Brown to see what he can do in the playoffs? At this point, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see that happen.
