The Cowboys enter their Week 18 matchup against the Eagles as the NFC East champions, but they desperately need to build some postseason momentum with a win over Philadelphia.

Dallas fans aren’t happy after their team’s ugly home loss to the Cardinals in Week 17. Kyler Murray continued his career-long dominance of any opponent he faces in AT&T Stadium. The end result wasn’t fatal for the Cowboys but they need a bounceback performance at Philadelphia in their regular-season finale.

Both teams have their playoff berths secured, but neither wants to limp into the postseason loss to their division rivals. The Eagles squeaked by Washington with an ugly win to make sure they weren’t going to rely on a victory over Dallas to secure a playoff berth. It was hardly a work of art by Jalen Hurts and his teammates.

Saturday night’s game is important for both NFC East foes. Here are five bold predictions on how the Cowboys will perform on the big stage.

5. The Dallas defense will yield 75+ rushing yards to Jalen Hurts

Hurts was clearly limited in last week’s matchup against Washington. He only threw for 72 yards in his limited duty but he still ran for 34 yards on just eight carries against Ron Rivera’s defense.

Expect the Eagles’ coaching staff to turn Hurts loose on the ground this week. They understand allowing him to be a free-wheeling playmaker is their best route towards postseason success on offense. He’ll run the ball early and often against Dallas’ inconsistent defense. 15 carries for 75+ yards feels like a safe bet for the mobile quarterback.
