Micah Parsons tests positive for COVID before Cowboys’ finale
Leading up to the team’s regular season-finale against the Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys could be without star linebacker Micah Parsons.
For the Dallas Cowboys, linebacker Micah Parsons is having one of the best rookie campaigns the organization has ever seen. Parsons has been a force in the trenches putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks since Week 1.
Unfortunately, though, fans might not be able to see him in action against the Eagles in Philadelphia on Saturday night. That’s because the Cowboys announced on Wednesday that Parsons has been placed on the COVID list.

Parsons indeed has been on a tear, as he’s started all 16 games for Dallas this season. While out on the gridiron, Parsons has really turned heads with his 13 sacks. On top of that, he’s added 84 total tackles and three forced fumbles.
When Dallas used a first-round pick on the former Penn State superstar, who expected him to play like this? Even Jerry Jones has to admit that he didn’t think Parsons would be this darn good so fast.
Not only is Parsons a lock to be Defensive Rookie of the Year, he’s certainly got to be in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation as well. T.J. Watt may end up getting that honor, but Parsons has without question put himself on the map this fall and winter.
With Parsons playing so well, he’s helped Dallas already capture the NFC East title this season. The team was hoping to grab the No. 1 seed in the NFC too, but the Green Bay Packers locked things up on Sunday night with the win over Minnesota. Parsons could end up making his way back for Saturday’s game, but things aren’t looking promising for him.
