The Sentry Tournament of Champions will get the PGA Tour back in swing from Kapalua to start the 2022 year in golf.

It’s time for the start of the 2022 year in golf. After the winter break last month, we now move to the first PGA Tour event of the new calendar year with the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

The crux of the event is in the name. Every golfer (except for Rory McIlroy) who won last year will head to Hawaii to play this event, making for a limited field with many of the best in the world, such as Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Viktor Hovland (whose golf clubs finally arrived), among many, many others.

With a wide-open course that sets up for a birdie-fest, this is always a wildly entertaining tournament. And the fact that we’ve missed golf doesn’t do anything but add to that. So with that in mind, here’s everything you need to know and watch the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Sentry Tournament of Champions course: Where is it being played?

This tournament will be played at the beautiful Plantation Course at Kapalua Golf in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Who won Sentry Tournament of Champions in 2021?

Interestingly enough, the defending champion is Harris English, who won the tournament after getting into the field as a TOUR Championship qualifier to fill out the rest, despite not winning in the previous year.
