Broncos could look at top Cowboys assistant to replace Vic Fangio

The Denver Broncos are reportedly looking at a Dallas Cowboys assistant to replace head coach Vic Fangio.
The Denver Broncos have not made it to the playoffs since they won Super Bowl 50. Head coach Vic Fangio is set to have his third losing season in three years with the team, leaving the Broncos thinking things over heading into their regular-season finale.
According to CBS Sports insider Jason La Canfora, the Broncos are expected to move on from Fangio after this season and that Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn “will quickly emerge as a top candidate there.”
Broncos reportedly eyeing Cowboys assistant to replace Vic Fangio
Just last year, Quinn was fired as Atlanta Falcons head coach. Now, he is one of the top coaching candidates in the cycle, thanks in part to the work he has done in his first season as Dallas’ defensive coordinator.
Entering Week 18, Dallas has allowed an average of 20.8 points per game (seventh-lowest in NFL). But the key to the Cowboys’ success is their ability to take away the ball from the opposition. Through 16 games, Dallas has forced 33 turnovers (25 interceptions, eight fumbles), tied with the Indianapolis Colts for the most in the league.
After serving as Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator from 2013-14 and winning Super Bowl 48, Quinn was hired as Falcons head coach. In his second season, the Falcons made it to Super Bowl 51, which they lost in overtime to the New England Patriots.
As a head coach, Quinn carries a 43-42 regular-season record and a 3-2 playoff record.
If the Broncos are to part ways with Fangio after Week 18, keep your eyes on Quinn as a potential head coaching replacement.
