The Alabama Crimson Tide look to ruin the Georgia Bulldogs’ championship aspirations once again this college football season.

Meeting on the gridiron for the second time this season are the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs.

While Alabama proved victorious over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta a little over a month ago, it is a different stage with much bigger stakes on the line in Indianapolis. The winner of Monday night’s game will win the 2022 College Football Playoff. Georgia might be the slight favorite in the rematch, but Alabama has won the last seven meetings vs. the Bulldogs.

If Alabama does these three things, the Crimson Tide will make it eight in a row over Georgia.

Alabama: 3 keys to victory over Georgia in the 2022 College Football Playoff

3. Make Stetson Bennett IV beat you with his arm while providing pressure

The more plays Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett IV will have to make with his arm, the less likely it will be that the Dawgs win this game. This offense is best suited using the run to open up the pass, with the mobile Bennett being a part of it. What Alabama needs to do is put Bennett in less-than-advantageous situations so he will make mistakes. Use Will Anderson to help do that.

2. Nick Saban must be unpredictable to get inside of Kirby Smart’s head again

If there was ever a time for Nick Saban to play four-dimensional chess, this would be that game. The faster the mentor Saban can get inside of the mind of protege Kirby Smart, the better. Smart’s team is deeper and more talented, but Alabama has the better quarterback and the more proven head coach. So do not play into Georgia’s hand. Be unpredictable and make Smart overthink this.

1. Dance with the one that brung ya, let Bryce Young sling it to another victory

Georgia might have the more talented roster from players No. 2 to 100, but Alabama has the better quarterback. That means use Bryce Young early and often to sink Georgia’s championship aspirations. He was a menace for the Dawgs defense in the SEC Championship Game. Though it will have to look a tad different because Georgia will adjust, go start the next Heisman campaign.

By making Bennett uncomfortable, getting Smart out of sorts and learning on Young, Alabama can repeat as College Football Playoff National Champions to set up an unprecedented run for three in a row next season.
