Final 2021 college footbll rankings after Georgia beats Alabama to win national championship
The final 2021 college football rankings has the Georgia Bulldogs back on top after pulling away from Alabama to win the national championship.
The college football season has finally come to an end. A new National Champion was crowned when Georgia knocked off Alabama in Indianapolis. The Bulldogs took the mantle as new kings of college football.
Bowl season saw a bit of everything, from great comebacks to cancellations. With many moving parts and a familiar scene at the top, the final top 25 of the season should be interesting, considering some teams in the top 25 didn’t even play bowl games.
One thing is for sure and that is the Bulldogs are at the top. Here’s how the top 25 should shake out following the National Championship Game.
Projected AP Top 25 college football rankings after National Championship Game No. 25-21
25. San Diego State Aztecs
The San Diego Aztecs should finish the season in the top 25. They blasted a great UTSA team in the Miami Beach Bowl. With 12 wins in the books, the Aztecs have a season they can hang their helmets on.
24. Wisconsin Badgers
After a slow start to the season, Wisconsin started to turn things up a bit before blowing a chance to make the Big Ten title game. However, they put the clamps on Jayden Daniels and Arizona State in the Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas ends up in the Top 25.
23. Utah State Aggies
Utah State was one of the early winners of bowl season as they took down Oregon State in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl. The win might not earn them a spot in Kimmel’s monologue, but it could land a spot in the final Top 25.
22. Kentucky Wildcats
Wildcats like Citrus more than Hawkeyes. Kentucky should move up to the 22 spot after defeating Iowa in the Citrus Bowl. Conversely, the Hawkeyes could drop out of the Top 25 altogether after falling.
21. Arkansas Razorbacks
The Razorbacks represented the SEC well during bowl season with a win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl. If anything other than a spot in the Top 25, Arkansas certainly earned a Bloomin’ Onion or three.
