Final 2021 college footbll rankings after Georgia beats Alabama to win national championship

1. Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia has finally done it. The mountain has been climbed. The Bulldogs at long last are National Champions for the first time since 1980.

For most of the night it looked like Georgia wasn’t going to be able to break through against Alabama’s defense, until James Cook busted a 67-yard run to set the Bulldogs up for the first score of the game courtesy of Zamir White. The cherry on top was Stetson Bennett finding Adonai Mitchell for a deep score in the end zone.

With the win, the Bulldogs have finally put the nightmares agains the Crimson Tide behind them and are taking over as college football’s new kings.

The defense stood tall just as it has all season and its ability to keep Alabama out of the end zone ended up being the deciding factor ultimately.

Georgia will also see itself atop the final college football rankings as well. With a big win over Alabama comes the right to be number one in the nation. They were there earlier in the season, lost the spot, then took it back.
