The Georgia radio call of the interception return touchdown by Kelee Ringo that won the Bulldogs the National Championship Game is incredible.

After a brutal fumble call that Alabama immediately scored a go-ahead touchdown on, all seemed as if it might be lost for Georgia. But then, the National Championship Game turned back in the Bulldogs’ favor.

First, Stetson Bennett delivered a dime to Adonai Mitchell to go up by a point. Then, he delivered another touchdown to take a big eight-point lead.

However, it was the vaunted defense that came up the biggest. With Bryce Young trying to save Alabama’s season, Kelee Ringo picked him off and took it all the way to the crib for a massive pick-six that sealed the national championship win.

And as beautiful as the play was alone, it was even more so with the Georgia radio call of it.

This is truly the stuff that will echo throughout Athens for days, months and years.

The monkey that was lifted off of the Bulldogs’ back was more than substantial. More than four decades of coming up short in terms of titles is a lot to endure. So to clinch it like that is something truly special.
