Richt coached the Bulldogs from 2001 to 2015, winning two SEC titles and two SEC Coach of the Year Awards.

He was 145-51 during his tenure before being replaced by Smart.

Gurley broke out as a freshman running back for Richt in 2012 with 1,385 yards and 17 touchdowns. He would finish his Bulldog career with 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns while battling injuries in his final two seasons before leaving for the NFL.

It’s clear both men still hold Georgia in a special place and they were ecstatic for this year’s team bringing a championship trophy back to Athens.
