The CFP National Championship Game is a rematch of Alabama vs. Georgia but expect the unexpected in the second meeting between the SEC rivals.

The all-SEC national title game between Alabama and Georgia will either bring Nick Saban another jewel for his crown or result in the torch being passed to Kirby Smart.

We’ve seen this story before, literally. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs squared off in the SEC title game just a few weeks ago. Alabama got the victory. Alabama and Georgia were also the first SEC teams to face off in the CFP National Championship Game in 2018. Saban won that one too.

This one is a new matchup in a new year. So how will it all play out this time?

Bold predictions for Alabama vs. Georgia in the CFP title game

5. Will Anderson will prove he should have been in NY

It’s not talked about enough how Alabama’s sophomore linebacker Will Anderson has 34.5 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks this season. Reliable statistics don’t go back very far in those categories but those are on par with the all-time best seasons in college football history.

Crimson Tide fans felt Anderson was snubbed by not receiving an invite to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York and they were probably right about that.

In the earlier meeting with Georgia, Anderson had six tackles and two tackles for loss, including a sack. Look for him to make even more plays en route to a defensive MVP nod.
