Skip Bayless went on Twitter to beg Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams not to follow Lincoln Riley to USC as rumors of a reunion swirl.

The possibility of Caleb Williams joining Lincoln Riley at USC is veering toward probability.

The former Sooners quarterback was in Los Angeles over the weekend, posting videos from the Rams and Lakers games on Sunday.

On Monday, Trojan quarterback Jaxson Dart entered the transfer portal and a slew of Crystal Ball picks on 247Sports predicted Williams and Oklahoma wide receiver Mario Williams to the Trojans.

Oklahoma football fans are not all handling it well, including Skip Bayless.

Skip Bayless wants Caleb Williams anywhere but USC

Bayless went on Twitter with momentum gathering for USC and begged Williams not to go.

“CALEB WILLIAMS: Please don’t rejoin Lincoln Riley at USC. He yanked you at Baylor when you still had a shot at the Heisman! Go to UCLA, NDame – anywhere but back w Stinkin’ Lincoln. Of course, I believe you can win the Heisman next yr at OU. Venables will provide u a real D!” Bayless tweeted.

When Riley pulled Williams against Baylor, he had already thrown two interceptions and it didn’t look like it was going to get much better for him. Considering what the Bears went on to accomplish in 2021, that game was never going to end with Williams still in the Heisman race.

No, Bayless’ plea comes down to one thing: Anger at Lincoln Riley for leaving Norman for Los Angeles.

For some Sooners fans, the only thing that matters is Riley failing. Williams joining him at USC makes his chances of failure that much smaller.

That’s because Williams is a five-star prospect with a ton of potential who knows Riley’s offense. He bought into Riley when he committed to Oklahoma. It shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s likely to stick with him, regardless of how loudly Bayless begs.
