Skip Bayless had an emphatic reaction to the Georgia Bulldogs winning the National Championship over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Fox Sports 1 analyst Skip Bayless is noted for being a critic of the Alabama Crimson Tide and picked Georgia to beat them on Monday’s Undisputed.

In the fourth quarter, a pick-six by defensive back Kelee Ringo secured the Bulldogs’ 33-18 victory and their first national title since 1980.

This is Smart’s first title as a head coach, and the former defensive back brought the title home to Athens. Meanwhile, this is Saban’s first loss in a national championship game since Clemson’s dominant win when Trevor Lawrence was a freshman at quarterback.

Bayless tweeted his congratulations to the team that finally got revenge for the SEC Championship loss and every other defeat to Alabama and got over the hump.

For over 40 years, Athens has been the sight of heartbreak and disappointment. For years at Georgia, it was Alabama that always stood in their way, and the Tide even won a national championship at the expense of the Bulldogs. Kirby Smart had never beaten Nick Saban since taking over at Georgia and lost in 2017 in overtime when the game was on the line.

But not this time. Ringo, a freshman, sealed the deal with the biggest play of the season. Ringo’s play officially got the Crimson Tide monkey off the Bulldogs’ back. Additionally, it’s the ultimate redemption story for quarterback Stetson Bennett, who struggled for much of the night but came up big, in the end, to ensure that the trophy would be going to the Dawgs.

The drought is over. Georgia is the national champion, and Skip Bayless offered his congratulations. What a season for the Dawgs and their fans who waited so many years for this moment.
