While Dan Quinn has been linked to several head coach openings, he may not be getting ready to leave Dallas after all.
For weeks now, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has been mentioned with several of the head coaching openings out there. It makes sense, as Quinn has done exceptional work with the Cowboys and he’s got head coaching experience.
With that said, is there a chance that he ends up spurning offers and makes a return to Arlington instead? Quinn made it more than clear he couldn’t be happier with the team and the fact that they’re back in the postseason.
Will Dan Quinn be back with the Dallas Cowboys next season?
While it may be tough for the Cowboys to keep Quinn, things very well could change if this team goes on a deep postseason run. He’s happy working with Mike McCarthy and he’s making a big-time impact on this young defense.

Having said that, the phone keeps ringing with teams putting in requests to interview Quinn to take over as head coach. According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Chicago Bears are the latest organization who have reached out to ask to interview the veteran defensive coordinator.
Right now, though, Quinn’s focus isn’t on potentially joining a new team. Instead, he wants the Cowboys to be 100 percent prepared for the NFC Wild Card showdown against the San Francisco 49ers at AT&T Stadium. With a win, Quinn will then get his unit ready for a Divisional Round matchup.
Yes, Quinn is a popular guy this winter for jobs and he could be leaving Texas in the near future. At the same time, you never know what might happen here. He very well could stay put as well.
