Nathaniel Hackett can give the Giants offense the boost it desperately needs

Due to the success that the Packers have enjoyed over the past few years, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Nathaniel Hackett has already received some interest from around the NFL to fill other head coaching vacancies. He’s done a tremendous job in tandem with Matt LaFleur in guiding Green Bay to being one of the best offenses in the league in recent years.

Now, the big question with Hackett (and somewhat with LaFleur) is how much of that success on offense has been the result of the coaching staff and how much of it has been a product of Aaron Rodgers being the quarterback. That’s a fair question to ask but that’s why the Giants should be interested in getting in a room with Hackett for an interview to see if they believe the vision he sells and believe in his ability to execute that.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Kellen Moore. 3. Offensive Coordinator. Cowboys. player. 123

Kellen Moore has earned a shot to be a head coach, perhaps with the rival Giants

For starters, you have to believe that Giants fans would be thrilled with the idea of poaching the offensive coordinator from arguably their biggest NFC East rival in the Cowboys. That’s probably the first thing that makes Kellen Moore an attractive head coach candidate.

Outside of that, however, Moore has acquitted himself extremely well at the helm of the Dallas offense in recent years. Yes, that’s a unit with more talent than what New York has but he’s also proven himself during hardships.

When Dak Prescott went down last year, it’s a testament to Moore that the offense was at least competent with Andy Dalton (and others) at the helm. Now giving him his own blank slate without Mike McCarthy also in his ear could be an attractive option for the Giants to consider.
