After leaving the National Championship Game, it was confirmed that Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams had suffered a torn ACL.
During the National Championship Game, Alabama fans saw wide receiver Jameson Williams make a huge catch in the first half, but fall to the turf clutching his knee in a non-contact injury. He would not return to the game, leaving those wondering just how severe the injury. As it turns out, the worst fears have been confirmed.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Williams suffered a torn ACL in the National Championship Game. Additionally, Schefter noted that doctors believe that Williams will be able to keep his speed and make a full recovery once he undergoes surgery in the next 10 days.

As noted in the tweet above, Williams is projected to be one of the top wide receiver prospects to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. It remains to be seen if his draft stock will take a hit now that he is set to undergo surgery.
Williams is now the second Alabama wide receiver to suffer knee injury. John Metchie III tore his ACL during the team’s SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
After transferring from Ohio State to Alabama, Williams had a huge junior year. In 15 games, he recorded 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Even though he suffered a serious knee injury, the expectation is that Williams will fully recover after surgery.
