Would Jim Harbaugh really give up his job leading the Michigan football program for an NFL team? Well, maybe, but it likely would take a huge offer.

The end of what was a pretty special 2021 Michigan football season for Jim Harbaugh and his Wolverines was a little rough, but it’s hard to look at the progress this team made and not imagine how Harbaugh could succeed in Ann Arbor going forward.

Of course, there’s always the chance that Michigan would need to replace Harbaugh as he apparently continues to draw interest from some folks at the NFL level.

Harbaugh, once an NFL head coach, would be a pretty good option to lead a team at that level once more. NFL franchises could certainly do much worse than someone who has a Super Bowl appearance on his resume.

But would he really leave his alma mater after getting it to be relevant on the national level once more?

Apparently, it’s possible, but it looks like a ton of money and the right situation would need to be available for Harbaugh.

Michigan football: Will Jim Harbaugh stick around with Michigan Wolverines?

When asked if Harbaugh would be interested in leaving college football behind and moving back to the NFL, ESPN’s Adam Schefter responded by saying that it would probably take “an offer from an NFL team [Harbaugh] can’t refuse.”

According to Schefter, it would take a franchise that would be willing to make sure Harbaugh couldn’t say no to their offer.

More than likely, that means he’s sticking around for the foreseeable future. That said, it’s worth noting that Schefter also said Harbaugh is tough to predict. Maybe we’ll see him make an unconventional decision and move on up.
