Vikings: Justin Jefferson laughs off ridiculous All-Pro snub
By Scott Rogust
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson could not help but laugh at being snubbed off a writer’s All-Pro team.
With the regular season now over, the main focus will be on the playoffs and the 14 teams vying to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 56. With the regular season over, that means awards will be handed out to players for their work throughout the 17-game campaign.
On Jan. 12, NFL.com writer Nick Shook gave his picks for the 2021 All-Pro team, featuring the best players on both offense and defense. One snub on his team was Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who was picked over Davante Adams of the Green Bay Packers, Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams and Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals.
All Jefferson could do was laugh, based off of his tweet.

Justin Jefferson laughs at NFL All-Pro team snub
Kupp was coming off a huge season where he nearly broke the single-season receiving yards record set by former Detroit Lions great Calvin Johnson. Adams is playing on a Packers team that holds the best record in the entire season. Chase is looking like the runaway favorite to win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Jefferson is coming off a stellar second season in the NFL, where he recorded 108 receptions for 1,616 yards and 10 touchdowns on the year. He ranked second in receiving yards and fourth in receptions.
Here are the stats of Kupp, Adams and Chase to compare to Jefferson’s statistics:
- Cooper Kupp: 145 receptions, 1,947 yards, 16 touchdowns
- Davante Adams: 123 receptions, 1,553 yards, 11 touchdowns
- Ja’Marr Chase: 81 receptions, 1,455 yards, 13 touchdowns
Jefferson was named to the Pro Bowl for the second-consecutive season.
