The 2022 Winter Olympics are almost here and snowboarder Shaun White looks like he’s ready to compete in the Games in Beijing.

It’s been a few years since Shaun White has made the podium for the halfpipe, but he’s looking ready for a return to spotlight in the Winter Olympics. After taking a break for a little while, White is trying to make it on to his fifth Olympic team and he’s showing that he’s still a phenomenal snowboarder.

For the first time since 2018, White is up on the podium after an impressive halfpipe performance at the Laax Open.

NBC Olympics shared the video of White’s performance on Instagram. Check out the post here:

White is a legend and also certainly a well-known figure in the world of winter sports. Historically, he’s a force to be reckoned with in the Winter Olympics and he’s looking like he’s ready to compete on that stage once more.

The 35-year-old snowboarder is one of the greatest competitive snowboarders of all time. He made his Olympics debut when he was 19, competing in Turin, Italy in 2006. White won gold in Italy and then won another gold medal in Vancouver in 2010. His most recent gold medal win came in PyeongChang in 2018.

Now it looks like he’s ready to compete for another shot at a gold medal. Making the podium at the Laax Open is a pretty good sign for him and should show that he’s able to compete with some of his younger contemporaries.
