Josh Allen has hilarious perspective on Emmanuel Sanders’ first playoff TD
By Scott Rogust
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen hilariously spoke about wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders catching his first touchdown in the playoffs.
Victory has never been sweeter for the Buffalo Bills, as they destroyed the rival New England Patriots 47-17 in the Wild Card Round. That is a credit to the performance of the offense, who had a perfect game against Bill Belichick’s game. Quarterback Josh Allen threw five touchdown passes, one of them to veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.
When speaking about the showing of the offense, Allen joked about Sanders catching his first touchdown in the playoffs, saying that the wideout has played in the NFL “for 100 years.” Then, he said that offensive lineman Tommy Doyle recorded a touchdown reception in his first-ever playoff game.

Josh Allen jokes about Emmanuel Sanders catching first playoff touchdown
Technically, Sanders has played in the NFL for 12 years, but you get the point Allen was trying to make.
Prior to this game with the Bills, Sanders participated in six playoff runs (13 games) and did not record a single touchdown reception. That includes the 2015 season where the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50 by defeating the Carolina Panthers. But, 14th time’s the charm.
In the Wild Card game, the Bills became the first team in NFL history to have a perfect offensive game. Buffalo scored a touchdown on all seven of their offensive drives prior to kneeling the ball down to run out the game clock at the end of the game.
Allen completed 21-of-25 passes for 308 yards and five touchdowns in the win. That’s right, Allen had more touchdown passes than he did incompletions against New England.
The Bills will look to have a repeat performance in the Divisional Round, where they face off against the Kansas City Chiefs, the very team that defeated them in last year’s AFC Championship Game.
Let’s see if Sanders can catch his second playoff touchdown in the Divisional Round.
