11. Eric Gordon — Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are another team that will act as a feeder to the contenders this season. Eric Gordon is the most obvious candidate. The Rockets would love to trade John Wall, and Wall could help a contender, but that contract is literally impossible to move. So, Gordon is the logical answer here for the Rockets to make a trade.

The rumors are swirling that Gordon could be a target for a team like the Lakers that is looking for better chemistry. Gordon is someone who can fit into the lineup no matter where you need him. The Rockets need a scorer, so he’s become a scorer.

Gordon has actually been with the Rockets for six seasons, now longer than he was with the Hornets/Pelicans. It will be bittersweet for Rockets fans to see him leave, but it’s clearly time. He deserves to play for a contender, and the Rockets aren’t going to be there for a long time. So, let Gordon go play for a championship and see if he can step up when in the playoffs. The last two times he was in the playoffs, he averaged more than 17 points per game.

Teams who want a little extra scoring from the backcourt will love to have Eric Gordon on their team. There are so many teams that could use his services. He will be a very interesting trade piece for the rest of the season.
