8. Tobias Harris — Philadelphia 76ers

Unlike a lot of the other names on this list, Tobias Harris is someone who just recently became available. The Philadelphia 76ers are trying to be true contenders in the Eastern Conference, but they have two of their best players on the trade block. We will obviously get to the other player in just a moment, but first, let’s get into this Harris scenario.

Harris might be a player that leaves in a massive trade for a ton of pieces. That might make sense as the Sixers are looking to build something substantial around Joel Embiid. Nothing has worked so far as the team was hoping to get more out of “The Process” by now. The 76ers tanked for a very long time, and their first-round picks turned out to be Markelle Fultz, Ben Simmons, Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid, Elfrid Payton, and Michael Carter-Williams. There is one major hit there and a lot of mistakes. That’s why the Sixers are where they are.

They made some deals to get veteran stars. They got Harris at the same time they got Jimmy Butler. They decided to give the massive extension to Harris. He has been good for the Sixers. He averages between 18 and 20 points every season. He starts every game. When the 76ers needed him to step up in the playoffs, he did that last year averaging 21 points per game. He also averaged 8.5 rebounds per game in the playoffs last season.

Now, it looks like their relationship is ending. Who knows what the straw that broke the camel’s back was here, but Harris and the 76ers are full speed towards a divorce. Would the Sixers only take a package deal to lose Harris, or would they be willing to trade him on his own? That still hasn’t been made clear.
