Tom Brady pours salt in the wound of Eagles fans with epic troll
By Scott Rogust
Tom Brady trolled Philadelphia Eagles fans after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers eliminated them in the Wild Card Round.
The Philadelphia Eagles exceeded expectations as they clinched the seventh-seed in the NFC, earning them a playoff spot. Their reward was to face off against the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by Tom Brady. The Buccaneers handedly defeated the Eagles 31-15 to advance to the Divisional Round.
As is the case after every win, Brady likes to have fun on social media. In one of his latest post-victory posts, Brady took a jab at Eagles fans who said he could not catch a football in Super Bowl 52 by showing him catching an out-of-bounds throw by quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Based on the way he chucked his helmet to the ground, Brady was determined to catch that football. He was quite happy to do so, as you can see his celebration after securing the “redemption reception.”
The play Brady showed was from the Super Bowl 52 meeting between Philadelphia and the New England Patriots. The quarterback lined up on the outside on a trick play, in which he was supposed to catch a pass from wide receiver Danny Amendola. Brady seemingly had it, but the football just bounced off of his fingertips.
Brady said on numerous occasions that that dropped pass still haunts him. Take a listen for yourself in the tweet below, courtesy of NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark.
Meanwhile in that very game, Eagles signal-caller Nick Foles caught a touchdown pass from tight end Trey Burton on the famous “Philly Special” play. Philadelphia won that game 41-33, earning their first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.
After the Bucs’ win, Brady will now have to prepare to face the Los Angeles Rams, who blew out the Arizona Cardinals 34-11, in the Divisional Round. The winner of that game will face the winner of the Green Bay Packers-San Francisco 49ers game for the NFC Championship in the next round.
At long last, Brady got some redemption for that failed catch in Super Bowl 52.
