1. Greg Joseph

In the NFL, when you find a kicker who you can rely on, your best option is to stick with them.

Greg Joseph handled kicking duties in Minnesota with as much dependability as anyone could expect. He was 33-of-38 on field goals, including 7-of-9 from beyond 50 yards. Sure, he missed a couple of potential game-winners against the Cardinals and Panthers but he made two more against the Lions and Packers.

In an often undervalued side of the kicking game, Joseph booted 80.9 percent of his kickoffs for touchbacks. That’s the most on record for the Vikings.

As a restricted free agent, Joseph shouldn’t be overly expensive to keep. The Vikings can offer a tender of $2.4 million as a starting point. That may be considerably more than his $780,000 salary for 2021 but it would still be middle-of-the-road in terms of cost.

It’s worth $2.4 million for the Vikings to not have to worry too hard about their kicking situation.
