2022 NFL Mock Draft: Playoffs continue to shape first round

Picks No. 29 and 30

Linebacker. Kansas City Chiefs. Devin Lloyd. 29. player. 124.

Once again, the Kansas City Chiefs are alive and well in the AFC Playoffs, this after ending Ben Roethlisberger’s career in embarrassing fashion in the Wild Card round. Patrick Mahomes threw for five touchdowns in this game, and if he continues to play this way, a third straight trip to the Super Bowl could be in the cards.

Picking at No. 29 overall, Kansas City could go a number of different ways, but bringing in a linebacker may be key for this defense. Devin Lloyd from Utah is one of the best at his position in this draft class, and in Kansas City, he could be a Day 1 starter on that side of the ball.

Wide Receiver. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. David Bell. 30. player. 48.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made light work of the Philadelphia Eagles this past weekend, as the old man proved he is still as good as it gets at the quarterback position in the NFL. The Bucs could punch their ticket to their second straight Super Bowl this season, though they had some key injuries against Philadelphia.

Still, they will be picking late in the first round, and with the selection, they should look to add more talent on the outside. While some feel David Bell from Purdue is a Day 2 guy, I love his size and athleticism, and why not give Brady another weapon to key on next season.
