If the chips fall for the Denver Broncos, could Aaron Rodgers and Sean Payton make their way to the AFC West?

We’re not even done with the 2021 campaign yet and there’s already so much intrigue for what’s to come next campaign. It’s of course going to be a busy offseason for the Denver Broncos and things are about to get even more interesting with the latest Sean Payton update.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Payton is yet to commit to the team to return as head coach. If Payton does leave town, Denver would of course waste no time in reaching out to him.

The futures aren’t clear for Sean Payton and Aaron Rodgers

After firing Vic Fangio, Denver is in need of a new head coach. Enter Payton? First, we’ll need to see if he returns to New Orleans or not. If he doesn’t, then a move to Denver would make tons of sense. Oh, and what about Aaron Rodgers?

Following the upset loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, no one knows what will happen with Rodgers this offseason. Green Bay is way over the cap for next season and Rodgers has made it more than clear he doesn’t want to be part of a rebuild. On top of that, the general feeling has been that this would be his last year with the Packers too.

If he does bolt, imagine John Elway calling him and selling him on a move to Denver. If Payton goes there too, it’d of course sweeten the deal. As of right now, this may just be wishful thinking for Broncos supporters. If Payton and Rodgers were to join the Broncos, goodness, it’d be earth-shattering news for the AFC West side.
