Is Tom Brady going to retire?
By Ethan Lee
As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers struggle with the Los Angeles Rams and Tom Brady seems like a shell of his former self, it’s worth wondering if he’s done after today.
Tom Brady is quite possibly the greatest quarterback the NFL has ever seen. There are arguments to be had over that, but he’s definitely a legend and is one of the most successful figures in NFL history. And it seems like all of that could be coming to a close as everybody tries to figure out what’s next for Brady.
He’s been great all season, but he’s not great now. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are struggling against the Los Angeles Rams.
And unfortunately for Tampa Bay, Brady doesn’t seem like himself.
So, will Brady retire? Is he done after this game?
Bruce Arians, the head coach of the Buccaneers, seems to believe that Brady won’t retire just yet. Arians apparently thinks Brady will be back for one more year with the Buccaneers. It seems possible that he’d come back for one more shot at a Super Bowl.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Tom Brady retire?
However, some of Brady’s former teammates seem to believe he’ll head into retirement after this season. They’d definitely have valuable insight into what Brady would want to do at this stage in his career. Oh, and it seems like there’s some real uncertainty surrounding his future.
With all that he’s won and everything he’s been able to do in the NFL, nobody would fault him if he decided to end things here. Of course, for a legend like Brady, it’s hard to imagine him going out while he could still potentially compete for a Super Bowl.
It all comes down to whether or not Brady really wants to keep going that badly or if he’s happy with his career and is ready to move on to other endeavors and spend more time with his family. Does he want to continue to put his body on the line to try and keep winning or will he be satisfied with all that he’s done over the years and step away?
Will he retire? Eventually. Does he retire after this game? That would be fairly surprising.
