So far, the injury is not deemed to be serious. Shams Charania of The Athletic tweeted out that James is listed as day-to-day. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel , via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, said that James woke up with soreness and that they will check to see how he feels on Friday, Jan. 28, before undergoing additional testing.
This news comes after James helped lead the Lakers to a 106-96 victory over the James Harden-led Nets. James scored 33 points while shooting 14-21 from the field, in addition to recording seven rebounds and six assists.
On the season, James is averaging 29.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists, while shooting 52.2-percent from the field and 35.2-percent from the three-point line through 36 games.
The best thing Lakers fans can do is to wait for an update from the Lakers prior to their game against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, Jan. 28.
