FIFA World Cup Qualifying – CONCACAF: Watch United States vs. El Salvador
The USMNT will hope to take one step closer to Qatar with a win over El Salvador on Thursday night in Columbus.
Over the next 10 days, there’s plenty of pressure on the USMNT to record some strong results in CONCACAF qualifiers. Things will start on Thursday night with the red, white and blue hosting lowly El Salvador.
As things stand, the USMNT is in second place of the table behind first-place Canada. Mexico is right behind the USMNT, though, in third place. The top three teams will advance to the World Cup, while the country that finishes in fourth can still make it through via an international playoff. For the USMNT they simply have to get the job done on Thursday. Will Christian Pulisic, Matt Turner and Co. power the home team over El Salvador?
How to watch USMNT vs. El Salvador
United States vs. El Salvador will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday night from Columbus, Ohio. The match will be televised nationally on ESPN2, while folks can catch a live stream of the action via fubo.TV.
Following this showdown with El Salvador, the USA will then take on Canada in a monster showdown on Sunday. Then next Wednesday, the USA will host Honduras over in St. Paul, Minn. While it’s unlikely the U.S. can officially qualify for Qatar by next week, they could do so if they win all three matches, plus either Mexico or Panama lose all of their showdowns too.
