Joe Burrow’s father shared a picture of the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback wearing a Kansas City Chiefs helmet as a kid.

Joe Burrow is just in his second season with the Cincinnati Bengals, and he is just one win away from reaching Super Bowl 56. All he has to do is lead the Bengals to a victory in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ahead of the big game, Burrow’s father, Jimmy, shared a photo of the Bengals quarterback as a child, wearing a Chiefs helmet. The elder Burrow said that Joe “use to like those shiny red Chiefs helmets” but not anymore.

Burrow is certainly not going to be a fan of the Chiefs, considering they stand in the way of him competing for the Lombardi Trophy.

The 2020 first-overall pick knows what it takes to win a title. Just look at his 2019 season with the LSU Tigers, where he helped the team win the National Championship with an undefeated record while throwing for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns on a 76.3 completion percentage.

That carried over into the playoffs this year. The Bengals defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 26-19 in the Wild Card Round, and Burrow overcame being sacked nine times by the Tennessee Titans defense in the team’s 19-16 win.

But, he faces a true test in the Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback and former NFL MVP put Kansas City into field goal range starting from their own 25-yard line with just 13-seconds on the clock to force their game into overtime. The Chiefs won the coin toss, and Mahomes and the offense marched down the field, which ended with the quarterback hitting tight end Travis Kelce in the end zone to clinch the 42-36 win.

Burrow and the Bengals may have defeated the Chiefs 34-31 back in Week 17, but the quarterback will have to contend with a loud crowd in Arrowhead Stadium.
