Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes dominated the first half of the AFC Championship Game against the Bengals, drawing attention from the Madden Twitter account.
Patrick Mahomes feels like a human cheat code half the time. Years down the line, people will talk about him like they still talk about the Michael Vick and Bo Jackson avatars that existed in football video games.
He’s no video game character, but he pulls off things only thought imaginable for those pixelated forms in the past.
In the AFC Championship Game against the Bengals, Mahomes was responsible for multiple “that’s like a video game” type plays. Even the Madden game franchise had to weigh in.

With Mahomes playing that way, the opposing defense has little hope. He’s just too elusive. Throw in targets like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce to help him finish off plays with a flourish and the points rack up with ease.
On Sunday, Mahomes’ Chiefs jumped out to an early lead over Cincinnati as a reminder of what their ceiling on offense looks like. The quarterback was 18-of-21 for 220 yards and three touchdowns through the air.
Mahomes opened the scoring by finding Hill in the back of the endzone while on the run. He took that recipe up a notch with that escape artist routine to set up a touchdown pass to Kelce. Mecole Hardman grabbed the third TD of the first half.
