Former Michigan receiver releases mobile game ‘Deep Pass Jam’ benefitting Michigan children’s hospital

Interested in checking out a new mobile game released by a former Michigan football player? If so, you can also help out a children’s hospital in the process.
Playing video games and helping children’s hospitals aren’t two activities that typically go hand-in-hand, but thanks to one former Michigan football player, those two things are definitely happening at the same time.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, previously a wide receiver for the Michigan Wolverines and currently a member of the Cleveland Browns, has helped make a mobile game that helps a children’s hospital in Michigan.
Deep Pass Jam, a game available in the Apple app store, lets players “feel what [it’s] like to be Donovan Peoples-Jones,” according to the description on the app’s download page. Players can “smash through obstacles, avoid dangerous rocks, rack up points, unlock powerups, and catch the ball!”
And players can do all of that and help sick kids. That sounds like a pretty cool deal and a decent enough reason to take a look at the game.

The game itself is free, so you don’t need to pay to play, but there are in-game purchases that can be made (which is fairly common with mobile gaming). As Peoples-Jones notes, a portion of the in-game purchases will be used to help Mott Children’s Hospital.
The hospital is located in Ann Arbor and is affiliated with the University of Michigan and it looks like they do some really good work to help kids in Michigan. According to the hospital’s about page, doctors there are able to perform “leading-edge heart surgery” that happens “in the womb.” Which, you know, sounds pretty impressive and challenging.
