Tito’s Handmade Vodka sales benefit Texas football program with new facilities
Texas football will be getting new practice facilities soon thanks in part to a huge donation from the philanthropic arm of Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka is committed to “enhance the experiences” of students at the University of Texas at Austin in more ways than just providing them a potent beverage option.
They’re also doing their part to make sure those students get to watch a top-notch football and basketball program.
That’s why Love, Tito’s, the philanthropic arm of the company, made a $20 million gift to Texas Athletics to help construct new practice facilities.

The practice facilities will benefit the football team, the men’s and women’s basketball teams and the rowing team.
“Tito’s investment also allows Texas Athletics to remain highly competitive in the recruitment of elite student-athletes, coaches, and staff,” the press release announcing the gift said.
The link between Tito’s and Texas is pretty clear. The company is based in Austin and was founded by a UT alumnus. If the vodka brand was going to back any college football program, the Longhorns are definitely at the front of the line.
For Texas fans, this is a good heads-up about what brand to support in the future when they’re at the store shopping for vodka.
For Oklahoma and Texas A&M fans, this might have the opposite impact. A bottle of Tito’s might as well be an endorsement of Texas football.
So if sales of Tito’s Handmade Vodka start to spike in Austin and dip in College Station or Norman, we all know exactly why.
