Miami Dolphins: Is Aaron Rodgers a fit?

The chances of the Dolphins acquiring Rodgers is also very low, but Miami has some things in their favor. For one, the Dolphins have $64 million in cap space entering 2022, and have three first-round picks the next two years. Three first-round picks and another asset or two is highly plausible to land Rodgers.

Another reason this trade could make sense for Rodgers is the competition in the AFC East. Now, Buffalo would probably remain the best team in the division, but Rodgers with that defense and still having money to sign other free agents would make Miami the Bills top contender. Yes, the Patriots still have Bill Belichick, but Mac Jones does not compare to Rodgers.

Miami has struggled against the Bills since Allen developed into a superstar quarterback. Tua Tagovailoa has shown no signs of having that same capability. However, Rodgers would give the Dolphins a fighting chance against the Bills. In addition, Miami’s cap situation would also give them an opportunity at landing Davante Adams.

Their draft capital would be dire for the near future, but having Rodgers, Adams, and Jaylen Waddle is as good as it can get for Miami.
