Look: Oklahoma State trolled Oklahoma with Lincoln Riley-USC stunt before Bedlam hoops game
By John Buhler
Oklahoma State dragged Oklahoma again for losing Lincoln Riley to USC in hilarious fashion.
With the men’s basketball teams duking it out in the latest installment of the Bedlam Series, Oklahoma State decided to make it personal and troll Oklahoma with Lincoln Riley to USC newspapers on every seat in the house.
Even if the Pokes are a sub-.500 team on the hardwood, they did win the most recent battle of Bedlam that really matters. After knocking the rival Sooners out of the College Football Playoff, Riley skipped town for sunny Los Angeles the next day, leaving the entire college football world in shock. Oklahoma may still have Porter Moser, but Riley is the one that got away.
Good job by the Oklahoma State student newspaper to be exceptionally petty ahead of Saturday’s men’s hoops game at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.

While Oklahoma is handling the Riley breakup as expected, Oklahoma State is coming off arguably its best season ever. The Pokes came back to beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Fiesta Bowl. Though they were one yard away from winning the Big 12 over Baylor and reaching the College Football Playoff, one could argue the Pokes are in a fantastic position heading into 2022.
Along with Baylor, Oklahoma has to be among the favorites to win the Big 12. Once Oklahoma and Texas bounce for the SEC, one would think the Cowboys could become a preeminent power after the next wave of conference realignment. Though the Bedlam Series may eventually go the way of the Backyard Brawl, Oklahoma State clearly got the upper hand on Oklahoma last football season.
Win or lose, expect all for Cowboys fans in attendance to frame this hilarious student newspaper.
