Odell Beckham Jr. reveals team he almost signed with instead of Rams
By Scott Rogust
Odell Beckham Jr. revealed a team that he almost signed with before joining the Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl Opening Night.
The Los Angeles Rams are looking to win their first Super Bowl title since 1999. Since the start of the season, the Rams showed they were all in with the moves they made to bring in big names. One of them was wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who signed after being released by the Cleveland Browns. As it turns out, there was one playoff team that Beckham was considering signing with before joining the Rams.
During Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday, Beckham was asked by Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald how close he was to signing with the New England Patriots, to which he replied “very.”

Odell Beckham reveals he was ‘very’ close to signing with Patriots
Beckham revealed that he spoke with head coach Bill Belichick when he became a free agent. Beckham told the media that if it were three years earlier, it would be ideal since Tom Brady would be on the team.
Sorry Mac Jones.
Of course, the decision to sign with the Rams turned out to be the right one for Beckham. He joined an offense where he lined up alongside fellow wide receiver Cooper Kupp and got to catch passes from Matthew Stafford. And now, they are one victory away from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy after beating the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers.
As for the Patriots, they had a seven-game winning streak heading into their Week 14 bye, but proceeded to lose three of their last four games. They did clinch a playoff berth, but they were blown out 47-17 by the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round. In that very game, the Bills had a perfect offensive performance at the expense of the Patriots defense.
Patriots fans will now wonder if signing Beckham would have changed their playoff fortunes and helped them make the Super Bowl. Either way, they will watch as Beckham looks to win his first Super Bowl ring on Sunday, Feb. 13, when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
