Bill Belichick and Urban Meyer were both apparently spotted down at Mar-a-Lago during Super Bowl weekend. Does that actually mean anything?

What do Bill Belichick and Urban Meyer have in common?

Well, they’re both football coaches. Both of have won championships. People have very polarizing reactions to both. And apparently, both Belichick and Meyer are at the same resort in Florida this weekend.

According to a tweet from Politico’s Meridith McGraw, Belichick and Meyer were both spotted at the Mar-a-Lago resort.

Is there a chance that Belichick would consider adding Meyer to the New England Patriots coaching staff? Would Meyer ever actually consider being an assistant coach?

That seems like a stretch, but weirder things have happened.

While Meyer had a disastrous time during his first season as a NFL head coach, if he’s still interested in having a shot at coaching somewhere, maybe a spot on Belichick’s coaching staff is exactly what he needs to continue his career?

There are other possible explanations here.

There’s a very real chance that Belichick and Meyer are just simply at the resort completely independent of each other. Maybe they both happened to take a vacation to a warm, notable Florida resort?

Or maybe both Belichick and Meyer wanted to hang out with a former president. McGraw is Politico’s national political correspondent and Donald Trump’s name is on the Mar-a-Lago resort. That seems like something a journalist who covers politics might potentially be interested in sharing information about.

There’s a number of things that could be going on there. But one is definitely the possibility that Belichick needs some help with his offense.
