Brittany Mathews reacting to Super Bowl Halftime show is all of us
By Mark Powell
Brittany Matthews, the fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, loved the halftime show just like the rest of us.
Despite the fact that Mahomes isn’t even playing, he and Matthews are watching the big game at home just like the rest of us.
The Super Bowl halftime show, which — let’s be honest — is usually a downer, was actually a banger this year. Super Bowl 56 delivered and then some.
Matthews live tweeted the event, reacting as most did to the halftime show which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem.

For those of us old enough to remember the 90’s and early 2000’s, the halftime show served as a callback to our youth. It was…everything we needed and more.
Super Bowl halftime show: Stars align for Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog and more
Sure, 50 Cent looked more like a dollar and Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Mary J and Co. have aged a bit since their glory days, but giving us a glimpse into that time machine was absolutely perfect. For once, the halftime show delivered exactly as it was promised.
Maria Taylor of NBC Sports dared to call the show the best of all-time BEFORE it even started, and she damn near called it live.
Matthews, like all of us, would go on to agree with Taylor, even if it were a bold statement at the time. West coast rap always wins, especially when the game is played IN LOS ANGELES.
