5. Week 15 College Basketball Rankings: Baylor Bears (HM)

  • Record: 21-4 (9-3 in Big 12)
  • Last Week: Won 75-60 at Kansas State, Won 80-63 vs. No. 20 Texas
  • This Week: At No. 9 Texas Tech 2/16, Vs. TCU 2/19

Seeing Baylor pick up a pair of double-digit wins was encouraging after getting blown out by Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. The matchup to watch here is a trip to Lubbock to take on Texas Tech, which played the Bears to a three-point loss in Waco earlier this season.

4. Week 15 College Basketball Rankings: Auburn Tigers (2)

  • Record: 23-2 (11-1 in SEC)
  • Last Week: Lost 80-76 (OT) at Arkansas, Won 75-58 vs. Texas A&M
  • This Week: Vs. Vanderbilt 2/16, At Florida 2/19

It felt like Auburn had been teetering on the edge for a while and they finally lost to Arkansas on Tuesday. Blowing out Texas A&M was a nice response from the Tigers, who will put their road woes to the test again on Saturday against a bubbly Florida squad looking for a marquee victory.

3. Week 15 College Basketball Rankings: Kentucky Wildcats (4)

  • Record: 21-4 (10-2 in SEC)
  • Last Week: Won 86-76 at South Carolina, Won 78-57 vs Florida
  • This Week: At No. 19 Tennessee 2/15, Vs. Alabama 2/19

A two-win week, combined with Auburn’s loss at Arkansas, gives the Wildcats an opening to claim a share of the SEC’s regular-season crown if the Tigers get tripped up again. This week is brutal, however, with Tuesday’s trip to Knoxville against Tennessee looming as a potential revenge spot for the Volunteers after they got blown out in Lexington last month.

2. Week 15 College Basketball Rankings: Arizona Wildcats (3)

  • Record: 22-2 (12-1 in Pac-12)
  • Last Week: Won 91-79 At Arizona State, Won 72-60 at Washington State, Won 92-68 at Washington
  • This Week: Vs. Oregon State 2/17, Vs. Oregon 2/19

Winning three straight road games in conference play isn’t easy but doing so in the span of a week with the winning margin of each game being at least 12 points is extremely impressive work for the Wildcats. The Oregon schools come to town this week, with Saturday night’s tilt against the Ducks being the more difficult task.

1. Week 15 College Basketball Rankings: Gonzaga Bulldogs (1)

  • Record: 21-2 (10-0 in WCC)
  • Last Week: Won 89-51 vs. Pacific, Won 74-58 vs. No. 22 Saint Mary’s
  • This Week: At Pepperdine 2/16, Vs. Santa Clara 2/19

The final score may not indicate it, but Saint Mary’s actually gave Gonzaga a fight on Saturday night, showcasing how much better the Bulldogs are than a stronger-than-usual WCC. Three of Gonzaga’s final four regular-season games are on the road, but this week’s tilts against Pepperdine and Santa Clara shouldn’t really push the Bulldogs that much.
