The Rams defeated the Bengals to win Super Bowl 56 but, for anyone interested in the betting markets, people might be wondering if LA covered the spread.

The Los Angeles Rams went all-in for the 2021 NFL season and, subsequently, it paid off. Playing at their home field, SoFi Stadium, they went into Super Bowl 56 and, despite falling behind early in the second half, came back and captured the Lombardi Trophy after a 23-20 victory.

It was a thrilling victory for the Rams and it also makes them the second team to win in their home stadium after the Buccaneers last year became the first to ever play in a Super Bowl in the stadium that they play in.

However, bettors don’t totally care about the result. They care about covering the spread. So did LA accomplish that in their victory?

Super Bowl 56 spread: Did Rams cover vs. Bengals?

Unfortunately for anyone that bet on the Rams, they are likely not happy with the victory.

WynnBet (and most other books) had the line at either -4 or -4.5 depending on when you placed your bet. With a three-point win, that wasn’t enough to cover.

Bengals backers — unless they took the moneyline — are likely pleased with this result still. At the end of the day, though, LA doesn’t care about whether or not they covered. Getting that elusive ring is what matters.
