The WM Phoenix Open is a party that provides great moments on the PGA Tour but we look at the purse and payouts for every player who made the cut.

Between the rowdy 16th hole, the crowd overall, and a sneaky fun golf course, the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale is one of the gems of the PGA Tour season every year. But the 2022 iteration delivered a ton of fireworks leading into Sunday with Sahith Theegala as the 54-hole leader trying to capture his first win on the PGA Tour.

The highlights, however, weren’t from the rookie Theegala. Rather, Sam Ryder sinking an ace on the 16th hole and seeing the beers rain down from the stands and then Carlos Ortiz repeating the feat on Sunday provided some unreal moments.

At the end of the day, though, this is still a golf tournament as much as it is a party for the fans. As such, these golfers are playing for a nice payday in Phoenix. With a total purse of $8.2 million for the tournament, there is money to be won.

But how much will the players make for their finish? With 67 players making the cut, let’s have a look at how the payouts shake out.

For being a tournament that is played on Super Bowl weekend, getting a $1.4 million payout to the winner is a nice chunk of change. That is also the case at the rest of the top of the leaderboard as well.

Though these guys obviously play for the paychecks, though, it’s hard not to think that the experience of playing in front of this type of crowd is something that is truly priceless. There truly is nothing in golf quite like the WM Phoenix Open.
