Odell Beckham injury update: Rams fear torn ACL for pending free agent
The Super Bowl wasn’t all good news for the Los Angeles Rams, as the team believes Odell Beckham Jr. may have torn his ACL in the win.
Odell Beckham, Jr. caught the first touchdown for the Rams in the Super Bowl but a knee injury ended his time in Super Bowl 56 before halftime.
According to The MMQB’s Albert Breer, the Rams fear Beckham tore his ACL.
Ian Rapoport backed that up with another report, suggesting Beckham’s injury is an ACL tear.

With less than four minutes to go in the second quarter, Beckham fell to the turf after a non-contact injury and immediately grabbed his left knee. Soon after that, he was ruled out for the rest of the game.
Beckham opened things up with a bang, catching a touchdown pass against Eli Apple. For the game, Beckham finished with two catches for 52 yards and his score.
If he did tear his ACL, this would be the second such injury for Beckham. He suffered the same injury last year as a member of the Cleveland Browns. Beckham will be a free agent this offseason as well, so there will be several teams following his injury status closely.
If he undergoes surgery to repair a torn ACL, he’ll likely be ready for the start of the 2022 season, but the type of contract he could command as a free agent will likely be dampened as a result of the uncertainty surrounding his recovery from a second torn ACL.
