5 targets for Bills in 2022 NFL free agency

Rasul Douglas could use the Philadelphia, Carolina connections to his advantage
In the five seasons since from starring at West Virginia, cornerback Rasul Douglas has bounced around. He spent the bulk of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles before being part of five other organizations over the last two seasons, most recently and notable with the Green Bay Packers. Douglas may covet stability above all else when hitting his unrestricted free agency.
While there is a good chance he returns to the Packers on a second contract, the Bills are a good candidate to land him in free agency because of his connection with the Eagles and the Panthers franchises. These are the two other organizations head coach Sean McDermott has his closest ties to. McDermott served under Andy Reid in Philadelphia before working for Ron Rivera in Charlotte.
Though McDermott may not have coached Douglas at either stop, having an understanding of where this age of Bills football was birthed from helps Douglas’ cause to be in Buffalo. Not only would adding him to the defensive backfield be a plus for Buffalo, but it would be to the detriment of another potential Super Bowl 57 contender, depending on what Aaron Rodgers decides to do.
The Bills may not need to do much defensively, but signing Douglas could be the right addition.
