Nick Saban has added yet another former Tennessee football coach to his Alabama football coaching staff. Twitter is reacting as Derek Dooley is going to Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama football program is the perfect place for rehabilitating coaches who are, in fact, not good at winning games. Nick Saban is famous for multiple things, like winning national titles and bringing in some less-than-stellar head coaches to round out his Crimson Tide coaching staff.

The most recent name Saban has brought to Tuscaloosa? Derek Dooley.

Dooley was not much of a real winner while with the Vols. In fact, Tennessee was actually very, very mediocre while he was leading Tennessee. In three seasons in Knoxville, Dooley managed to put together a 15-21 record.

And that’s not great!

Even before that, Dooley didn’t do much winning while with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. During his three seasons in Ruston, Dooley has a record of 17-20. Since leaving head coaching behind, Dooley has bounced around as an assistant coach and made it into the NFL ranks, helping out a couple of different organizations.

But, he hasn’t really helped out a program that is as successful as the Alabama football program. The move could be really good for his career! It’s a great chance for him to learn and improve, which is something everyone needs to do at some point!

Unsurprisingly, some Tennessee fans are already sounding off on Twitter:

Some folks find it far funnier than others.

And here’s a very, very noteworthy stat that is absolutely fascinating.

Who knows what Dooley’s career will end up looking like when it’s all said and done. But, adding coaching at Alabama to his resume is a very smart thing to do for him.
