The Dolphins have a star in Jaylen Waddle and Mike McDaniels is expected to unlock his talent in new and exciting ways going forward. Ideally, they’ll also have a go-to tight end in Mike Gesicki but he’s up for free agency. His future with the team is murky.

Either way, Miami has an incentive to find someone who can take some pressure off of Waddle while also filling an important role in the slot.

JuJu Smith-Schuster is that guy.

Behind all the TikTok controversy there is a player who cares deeply about winning. He’s an effective slot receiver who will contribute as a blocker and never take a play-off. He came back early from his supposedly-season-ending shoulder injury to play in the Steelers’ playoff game.

The hardest part will be convincing him to leave Pittsburgh. As it stands, a one-year deal would hardly be a risk if Miami could make it happen.
