When was the last time Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball won a championship?

The Gonzaga Bulldogs and head coach Mark Few look to win their first National Championship, but they’ve had plenty of tournament success prior.

Few and the Gonzaga basketball program are running through the West Coast Conference thanks to another stacked roster. Since the mid-1990’s, the Zags have established themselves as a mid-major basketball power. Year-in and year out, the Bulldogs find themselves in the Final Four conversation.

2022 isn’t expected to be any different for Chet Holmgren and Co.

Gonzaga has appeared in every AP Poll since the 2016-17 season, and it looks as though it’ll stay that way this season.

Has Gonzaga basketball ever won a championship?

No, the Zags haven’t ever won a national championship.

Few’s squad has made the Final Four and even the national championship game, but have come up short in a critical moment. This includes the 2021 season, in which Gonzaga lost the Baylor.

The women’s basketball team for Gonzaga hasn’t won a title, either.

Gonzaga has made the national championship twice, the final four twice, the elite eight five times and the sweet 16 11 times, including six out of the last seven years. Gonzaga has made every NCAA Tournament since 1999, not counting 2020 since March Madness was cancelled.
