2. Top free-agent landing spots for Odell Beckham Jr. – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This fit is very intriguing as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers definitely need some help at wide receiver. The loss of Tom Brady to retirement will hurt the Buccaneers’ offense but the unit was already in significant trouble based on the end of the 2021 season.

Chris Godwin tore his ACL and is set to test free agency with a second franchise tag unlikely after the injury. The Antonio Brown saga also removed another key weapon from the Bucs while it is unclear if Rob Gronkowski will return to Tampa Bay without his favorite quarterback under center.

There is a clear need for a top receiver opposite Mike Evans and this is where Beckham would fit in nicely. The fact that the Buccaneers already have Evans puts less pressure on Beckham to be the top guy right away, allowing him to work his way back to good health.

Bruce Arians’ vertical passing game would also appeal to Beckham, who could take a one-year deal with Tampa Bay to rebuild his value and cash in on a mega-deal after the 2022 season. This scenario could depend on who the Buccaneers find to succeed Brady at quarterback but if they can land a talented passer with a big arm it would make this fit even better.
